U.S. | The Labor Market: Now and Then
On average, employment recovery dynamics of different cohorts is similar as in the past. Unlike previous expansions, female employment now has fewer gains than that of males. Male employment and black employment have experienced greater losses than their counterparts during most recessions. Industries such as manufacturing have consistently lost jobs in each recession.
