Spain | Trade balance in August 2014

    Summary

The 12-month accumulated trade deficit increased in August to reach a figure of -2.3% of GDP. A further reduction of the non-energy trade surplus underpins the deterioration of the overall trade deficit. The slight fall of export volumes in August does not jeopardize the prospect of closing the quarter in positive territory.
