    Spain | The recovery of the labour market continued to lose traction in August

    Summary

    Social Security registrations declined somewhat more than expected in August, although unemployment met expectations. Excluding seasonal factors, there was a slowdown in the rate of recovery: the number of Social Security registrations increased by 11,000 (2.9% YoY), 30,000 less than the 2Q18 average, and unemployment fell by 7,000 (-6% YoY).
