Spain | The labour market gained dynamism in October

    Summary

Social Security registration increased by 130,400 (3.1% YoY), more than expected, and unemployment rose by 52,200 (-6.1% YoY). Although the data are positive, they should be evaluated with caution, since the surprise increase in employment was due to exceptional behaviour on the part of agriculture. Excluding seasonality, employment rose by 0.5% on a monthly basis and unemployment fell by 0.6%.
