Summary
As it was anticipated in the last edition of the Spain Economic Outlook, the recovery pace of the economy accelerated in 2Q15, mainly underpinned by the growth of private demand. GDP growth in the second quarter (+1.0 QoQ) is consistent with BBVA Research scenario, which envisage an increase in activity of 3.2% in 2015 and 2.7% in 2016.
