Spain | Positive labour market performance in December, but less than expected
Labour market records lost dynamism again in December. Excluding seasonality, it is estimated that Social Security registrations grew by 25,000 people and that unemployment fell by 17,000. Even so, the balance at the end of the year is positive: the increase in the number of Social Security registrations accelerated in Q4 (0.8% QoQ SWDA) and ended 2017 with 611,146 more Social Security registrations than a year ago (3.4% YoY).
