This Working Paper provides a brief description of the latest update of RegData, a database containing the main economic and demographic aggregates for Spanish regions over the last seven decades.
Key points
- Key points:
- The series start for the most part in 1950 or 1955 and run until 2023. In recent years, RegData information matches the latest official series published by the Spanish National Statistics Institute (INE).
- These series are linked to previous official series and to other sources in order to obtain a homogeneous linked series that extend back as far as possible.
- This year’s update is somewhat more complicated than usual as it follows the 2024 statistical review, which would be a change of base in the traditional terminology.
