In this new issue of OTMT we analyse the evolution of the labour market up to September 2023. We take stock of the evolution of the main aggregate indicators and focus on the monitoring of the Labour Reform, the occupational mismatch of university workers, and the education and training of self-employed and entrepreneurs.

• Job creation, driven by the private sector, went from strength to weakness in the second quarter.
• Spanish temporary employment rate has converged with those of neighbouring countries, although it continues to lead the EU. Despite the labour market reform, Spain continues to stand out for its high quarterly outflow rates from employment to unemployment.
• The occupational mismatch of people with university degrees may have led to a shift of people with intermediate levels to lower-ranking occupations.
