This Working Paper analyzes the settlement of the financing system of the autonomous communities under the common regime for 2020, which has recently been made public by the Ministry of Finance.

• Based on the data provided in this document, the definitive financing for financial year 2020 is calculated based on homogeneous competencies and equal fiscal effort, also introducing some adjustments to the official figures in order to make them more comparable between communities.
• Apart from this, increased financing indices are constructed, which include the extraordinary resources provided by the Central Government.
• We then quantify the interregional redistribution flows channeled through the regional financing system and we analyze the evolution of the resources subject to settlement provided by the system between 2020 and 2022.
