Mexico | New fields support crude oil production of Pemex
The new fields will have to produce around 290 thousand barrels a day during the second semester to make it possible for Pemex to reach its production target of 1.802 million barrels a day for 2021.
Key points
- Key points:
- The increase in crude oil production of Pemex since the third quarter of 2020 is mainly explained by its own production and not so much by the contribution of its partners or condensates
- The reduction in the rate of the right for shared profits from 65% in 2019 to 54% in 2021 and fiscal stimuli have contributed to positive net income reports in three of the last four quarters
