In Chile, the important negative surprise in the activity index could trigger more aggressive policy reactions

Inflation in Colombia continued to reflect a slowdown in growth, in line with our estimates and with our forecast of a pause in the rate of intervention of CB after the 25bp rate hike expected at the end of this month. Mexican confidence indexes showed a perception of improving economic activity for producers which is not yet reflected in the consumer confidence index.
