Colombia | Weekly update BBVA Tracker: Consumption. 15 April, 2021

Consumption so far in April has been affected by the new mobility restrictions implemented in most of the country and is 2% below the figure recorded in the same period in 2019, changing the trend observed in February and March, when it was already 17% higher.

• In April, consumption in Pereira, Bucaramanga and Cartagena was above pre-pandemic levels. In Bogota and Medellin, consumption was 12% and 20% lower, respectively.
• Fuel expenditures in Bogotá and Barranquilla are 33% and 40% below pre-pandemic levels, respectively. While in Pereira, Bucaramanga and Cartagena it remains stable.
