Consumption in May is slightly below that recorded prior to the pandemic. Despite the end of the mobility restrictions imposed by Covid-19, the days of protests and roadblocks caused consumption to decelerate by 1.5 percentage points compared to April.

- Online commerce contributed to moderating part of the negative impact of the protests and roadblocks on consumption, growing close to 30% in the first days of the month.
- In Cali, the city that has seen the most violent confrontations and the longest days of protests, consumption so far in May is 23% below that recorded in the same period in 2019, being the city with the greatest impact.
