    Summary

They published the results of the PISA 2018 tests which are a great indicator of the abilities of students from 79 countries in the world in reading, mathematics, and science. These show great challenges for countries of all income levels but also give hope for those who are not doing so well.

    Key points

    • Key points:
    • Actively promote social mobility through education.
    • The challenges are gigantic in separating the students' ability from their social origin and/or the school they were able to access.
    • The results show you can't talk like you did years ago. Now we can talk about countries with similar test results that have very different income levels.
