Summary
At BBVA Research we have identified the agricultural sector, both globally and in Colombia, as one of the sectors with the greatest potential for the coming years. Key points
- Key points:
- With the twelfth largest cattle herd in the world and close to 30 million head of cattle, Colombia is gaining export potential, thanks to production efficiencies and phytosanitary strategies implemented in recent years.
- The opportunity for the sector will come from foreign sales, due to the economic growth of trading partners and exchange rate advantages. However, local demand will also contribute to a good performance.
