    Summary

The year 2020 was a bad year in many ways, in which the economy fell by 6.8% y/y, an unprecedented drop in a period with unprecedented health circumstances. With all of this, the best is yet to come, and the economy will gain momentum in the second half of the year, in part to the expected vaccination of the vulnerable.

    Key points

    • Key points:
    • Of the 12 sectors in which the economic activity is divided, only four achieved positive growth.
    • In the last quarter, the economy continued to grow strongly compared to the previous quarter.
    • Along with vaccination, the willingness of families to buy goods will increase, especially in services that require more social interaction.
    • In 2021 the economy will grow by an estimated 4.8% and next year by 3.8%.
