China Economic Outlook. The Fourth Quarter of 2015

    Summary

China’s economy averted a hard-landing in the third quarter despite abrupt market disruptions stemming from the mid-year stock market selloffs and the August RMB devaluation. Q3 GDP growth edged down to 6.9% y/y from 7.0% in Q2. Growth quality has been deteriorating remarkably. Thus, Both fiscal and monetary policies need to be pro-growth.
