Chile | Unemployment rate increased to 5.9% in February
The jobless rate increased slightly to 5.9% in February (from previous 5.8%), driven by a 1.8% YoY rise in job-creation which compares to the 1.6% YoY growth of the labour force. Annual job-creation was driven by the dynamism in construction, commerce, and hotels and restaurants, which was partially offset by the negative contribution from mining and manufacture.
