Ferran Garcia i Aguilar joined BBVA Research in March 2024 in the Modelling cluster as an Analyst I.

Previously, he worked as a research assistant in different institutions: with Professor R. Ferrer at Pompeu Fabra University, in the Risk Analysis and Foresight team at ACCIÓ and, more recently, in the Macroeconomics team at Banco Sabadell.

He holds a degree in Economics with a specialisation in Advanced Quantitative Methods from Pompeu Fabra University. He also holds a Master's degree in Macroeconomic Policy and Financial Markets from Barcelona School of Economics.
