Carmen Pelayo Fernández

Carmen Pelayo Fernández holds a Bachelor of Science in Management and Technology from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (honors thesis), where she also received a Complementary Diploma in Economics. During her senior year, she studied abroad at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, after which she interned at the headquarters of Spectrum Brands, Inc. in Middleton (WI). Later, she completed a Master of Science in Data Science at Boston University (with a specialization in AI) while working as a teaching assistant of AI Ethics for Professor Wesley Wildman at the Faculty of Computing and Data Sciences (CDS). At the end of the year, she received the 2023-2024 CDS Graduate Teaching Excellence Award for her contribution. In addition, Carmen has worked as an enterprise technology consultant at Deloitte and Avasant, advising companies on their digitization.
