Álvaro García joined the BBVA Financial Regulation team in June 2024. He previously worked at Deloitte providing legal consulting services for the Bank of Spain in the area of Institutions’ Business Conduct. Subsequently, he worked in the Regulation and Public Policy teams at Banco Santander and Banco Sabadell, respectively.

He has a BA in Law and Business Administration from Universidad Complutense de Madrid and a MBA-ICEX in International Management from Universidad Internacional Menéndez Pelayo, completing the MBA program with a one-year internship in the Trade Commission of Spain in Chicago.
